The swaying of the grasses

For 5 days, a tiny house in the countryside of Ermelo (NL) was our art studio. The surrounding landscape was an inspiration for drawings and paintings.

This was a collaboration with my girlfriend Grady van den Bosch.

We both worked daily on the project of making an artwork, inspired by the field behind the tiny house.

We used several techniques: drawing with ink, painting with ink, drawing with oilpastels, drawing with pen, marker and pencil, painting with gouache, painting with gouache and ink, painting with acrylics and painting and drawing with acrylics and charcoal. 

The artworks on the left are by myself, the artworks on the right are by Grady. A set of artworks for every day.

The title of the project was inspired by a sentence out of a poem by Dutch poet Ida Gerhardt (In Dutch: “de wiegeling der grassen” 1947)
